i need to receive log critical events on my email, but I get "Test SMTP Server "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" failed!"

In RV345/system configuration/log/,  I enable email syslog and real time alert for Wan and VPN down.

I need help to configure email setting.

The settings from images below are ok?

At user and password I setup admin user of cisco router.

Email from address: should be real or any valid address created by server?TSL ok?Port ok?

 - Review this thread : https://community.cisco.com/t5/small-business-routers/rv320-failing-to-e-mail-logs-through-smtp-with-most-e-mail/td-p/2929432 and along with that also have a look at : https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en-GB . Also you may want to verify possible firewall blocking by  using a test like this along the RV on the network or behind it , use similar settings as on the RV and or near similar and check if a test can become successful : https://www.gmass.co/smtp-test

 - Start by having a simplified test with a mail server that can do the  bare minimum with not encryption and standard smtp port (on your Intranet for instance) , can you make it work ?

I cannot do it because all the emails are from yahoo or google so they have to go outside. Can I setup new email address from RV345? I don't think so.

I tried to send simple email from a virtual local adress created in RV345 to yahoo, like in picture attached, but test failed.

Neither any cisco youtube procedure for email config, I cannot find it...

 - These settings can be tricky because of the security levels required by the remote server  amongst others, also check of in between Firewall you may have, allows the connection (for the test). Check that in the firewall logs. Also lower security encryption , for instance and or relax security settings as much as can be done.

I disabled firewall and I tried again all options from email server configuration.Test failed.

And this is a incomplete setup...a joke...:

 - That video does not apply to your problem , it is for setting up email services behind the RV , you only want to forward logs to an external email 'repository' , checkout this document : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/smb/routers/cisco-rv-series-small-business-routers/smb5473-configure-email-settings-on-the-rv34x-series-router.html . toggle some settings as trying with authentication set to NONE and or same for encryption

Thank you for clarifying me. I have also studied the doc and tried to setup according doc for yahoo then for gmail, but the test conectivity still failed. I don't understand why.Firewall is still disabled...

 - Did you try the full gmail example as in last screenshot of the particular document , meaning make sure that the first 4 fields match the settings as in the example, for the others use your gmail account and subsequent recipient and from settings, if problems persist (when using Test Connectivity button )  also then check the logs on the RV345 , perhaps additional info's can be found.

Yes I did. The last screenshot was the best but still failed.User and password are ok and works when I login from gmail page...

In logs I cannot find any info about this test connection
