Disable DHCP server on LAN

Gary Turner

Hi

I'm working on my first SRP500 range router, I've been using the 800 series for some time so the setup on these devices seems a little basic by comparison although the SRP500's have some very attractive features.

I seem to be struggling with a 'simple' need, I want to disable  the DHCP server on the Default VLAN, I already have a DHCP server on the network and wish to continue to use that.

Unfortunately there isn't a X to delete this profile, how do I remove it or at least disable it.

Many thanks

Gary

Hi Gary

In order to disable DHCP you have to login as admin, then go to -> interface setup -> LAN -> VLAN Settings

Click on the pencil next to the VLAN name you want to edit.

Now on Address Type select "Static IP Address"

Assign an IP address and subnet mask, default gateway is not needed as your router will be the one to share Internet access.

Please try this and let us know if it worked for you.
