Dual Wan Router RV042G unreachable after configuring Bandwidth Management

Hello,

I bought a RV042G router some days ago to manage 2 adsl lines at my home. Everything works correctly except one thing : i can't configure the bandwidth management. When i go to "Bandwidth Management" menu, then "Bandwidth Management Type" then i choose rate control or priority and i a had some rules to priorize http protocol for example, then i click on save button. After a few seconds of internet usage i loss connectivity to the router and internet and 192.168.1.1 became unreachable to ping. I had to unplung the power cord to restart the router, the same problem still occurs until i remove all the rules ! Some times i even had to do a factory reset because my adsl modems are unreachable behind the router (unable to ping the gateway).

What i can do ? Is there a know issue on this router and firmware ? I have :

Serial Number : NKS16220141Firmware Version : v4.2.1.02 (Jan 18 2012 14:10:55)
PID VID : RV042G V01Firmware MD5 Checksum : a9817f2dbdcbd6a5c109eaa21b1c3545
LAN
Working Mode : Gateway

Thanks for your help.

Dual Wan Router RV042G unreachable after configuring Bandwidth M

Pascal could you please make a backup config file.

Next I'd like you to factory reset the router then once it comes back up, log in, make your internet work and try the bandwidth management again without any other configurations. See if it has the same issue.

If it does not then it would imply there is a conflicting configuration with the previous set up or a software defect that was corrected through the reset.

Hi Pascal, can you make screen shots of your configuration for the bandwidth management? What happens if you put the router in to smart link backup instead of load balance?

Dual Wan Router RV042G unreachable after configuring Bandwidth M

I did what you say : no crash with default settings and bandwidth management enabled. Then i tried to put my own settings one by one until my router crash again : it's related to the firewall, when i enable Multicast Passthrough, the router crash after few seconds of internet surf. No crash if bandwidth management is not configured.

So there is a conflict between both settings...Maybe you can report this bug to cisco engineers to investigate and fix that in a future firmware ?

Thanks a lot for your help. Now i need to open another topic because i need some help to configure bandwith management
