Is there some set documentation to follow if we want to use CCA 1.9 to configure this, out of the box?

The enclosed documentation points us to the Cisco website for the COnfiguration Guide http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/500/520/software/configuration/guide/520scg.pdf

Your best bet is to review the FirstLook Labs 1.4 on Security.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9646

This will guide you through some basic configuration steps for the SR520 with CCA 1.9

Great, thanks. Will do.

Also, any gotcha's upgrading to the latest IOS, looks like 12.4.24T, it came with 12.4.20T1

What is the minimum IOS etc., we should have on the UC500 before trying to connect these together, if there is a recommended minimum?

Thanks again...

For the SR520, you could go with 12.4(15)XZ2 if you want some of the new enhancements such as:

1)  Trend content(url) filtering
2)  DMVPN
3) OSPF
4)  Increase the IPSEC tunnels to 20

OK, thanks, I'll do that.

Also, I should have been more clear on my SR520 config question.

We have two UC520's, one in production and one for the demo/lab.  The First look is ok for the demo/lab becuase it wants to "reset to factory config" the UC520, and place the SR520 in front of the UC520, but we want to setup the SR520 at a home office.  Currently, the UC520 is an edge device at the office. So, here is our desired config:

Home PC<->SR520<->DSL modem/router<->Internet<->DSL bridge<->UC500

Is there a CCA doc for this setup.  The First look doc starts to cover some of this in Lab 8A.

Thanks again - just trying to place nice and follow Cisco's lead and desire to use CCA.

No problem at all. :)

The short answer is that the SR520 would be configured in a teleworker environment just like an 871 would be.

This document here should get you going with the SR520.

Hello people,

I have a serious problem with cisco SR 520 router and functionality that is wrote on the paper!

On cisco site I found that SR 520 support DMVPN, I ordered the router and it came with IOS:

(SR520-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(20)T6. Later I found that it does not support

NHRP protocol which is a base for DMVPN functionality and spoke-to-spoke VPN tunnels.

I suppose that the problem is in IOS version that is shiped with router.

Please, if you know, tell me were is the problem and wich IOS version should I choose ?

Should I take the latest ( 12.4.24T6) or some special release ?

Thanks in advance,

Vladimir
