I have a RV260 router. I have been able to set up an IPSec VPN connection client-to-site (from IOS device). However, I cannot make the VPN clients connect to the local VLAN / devices that are connected to this VLAN. Particularly I need remote access to the NAS. In the Advanced Setting I tried different setups with 'Local Group Setup' but that does not seem to make any difference (whether 'any' local resources, specifying the relevant subnet or pointing directly to the ip address of the NAS). Anyone that can help me out? Thanks.
Does no one have an idea? To start with, I do not understand why the 'local group setup' in advanced settings does not have any effect. On the ios devices I connect via IKEv2. VPN works, just no connection to the VLAN. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Here is the complete guide of how to configure OpenVPN on RV160/260.
Hope this will help.
Hi Ariel Ruzo, did you in the meantime already found a solution? I still have the same problem. I can only reach the router through the VPN, but no other local devices.
Hello Arial and Olav,
What is the remote client software you are trying to connect to the RV160? The supported third-party VPN clients are OpenVPN, the Shrew Soft and TheGreenBow IPSec VPN clients. Windows L2TP over IPSec is supported only on RV34x series.
