need help for IPSEC VPN with RV042

I'll appreciate any help for an IPSec VPN set up trial with RV042 please.

Hi Bay, if using a Windows computer, you may use QuickVPN for this. The one thing to note is the router you have as the gateway to the RV042. You will need to set a port forward for all IPsec services to be able to overcome the problems with the NAT.

The RV042 configuration is easy, create a user name/password and that's about it. The problem/challenge will be getting your NAT connection to allow the VPN to pass.

I have the PPTP tunnel working ok.

I'll try the IPSec with QuickVPN, with the ADSL router towards the internet.

Will let you know how it goes, especially with NATting.

If you can, I'd put the ADSL router in bridge mode and use the RV042 as your main router.  This will solve a lot of unnecessary steps and give you an overall cleaner network.
