RV016 routing issue

I hasve an older RV016 router with version RV016_v2_v3.0.2.01-tm firmware.  This is latest supportable on the older hardware.

The router appears to use the default route at all times, even though there are other static routes defined.

Current config looks like this

          192.168.10.0

Private subnet router

      | 192.168.4.2

      |

      | 192.168.4.1

    router B

     | 192.168.3.2

     |

     |192.168.3.1

  router A

     |192.168.2.2

     |

     | 192.168.2.1

RV016 WAN2 port

RV016 Switch ports

     | 192.168.1.1

     |

     |

local users  - - - internet gateway 192.168.1.100

I have a private subnet reachable over dedicated link a couple of hops away.

On the RV016 I've defined a static route to 192.168.10.0 via WAN2 with 192.168.2.2 as the next hop

The internet is reachable via a gateway on the local subnet (plugged into a LAN port on the RV016)

All of the local hosts use the RV016 as their default gatewaty (192.168.1.1)

When I add a default route on the RV016  via the LAN interface to 192.168.1.100,  I can no longer reach the 192.168.10.0 private subnet.

Remove the default route and connectivity returns.

Firewall and SPI are turned off.  Load balancing is off

Thanks in advance for any help.
