Hello,

I lost my old rv042 | Cisco Linksys | I must to buy a new one. I need to restore the backup, but the new one does not accept the file type.

Is there a way to do that?

Best Regards,

JDDV

Mr. Diaz,

Download the rv0xx migration utility at this link.  It will convert your configs for the new routers.

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282413305&release=1.0.2.2&relind=AVAILABLE&flowid=783&softwareid=283809662&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

Hello,

The old router was hardware version 1.2 the new one is version 3. I have use the tool. but al the moment to upload the backup, same error.

Invalid File Format.

Please ensure that old config file has .exp file type and new config file has .config type.

There is a configuration migration utility that can take old config file and turn it into a new config file format. It's posted along with the router firmware.
