RV160W Update LAN Default Gateway IP

I'm trying to change my LAN default gateway IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.8.1.

I've gone into the VLAN settings and updated the IPv4 Address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.8.1. When i click apply the Web UI tries to reconnect me to 192.168.8.1 but never reconnects. I can't ping 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1 and the only way to recover is reboot the router, which then restores 192.168.1.1.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you changed the IP address of your connecting device with an IP address within the new 192.168.8.0/24 subnet?
