RV180- Warnings "pppoe_sid_index=1"

Hello,

Wonder if someone might be able to help!

I've got a RV180 and so far it is working very well.

I have set the logging up and passing the logs to my syslog server. However I'm getting a constant stream of "Warnings" like the sample below:-

Tue Jul 31 21:35:26 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120215.750000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:26 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120215.770000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:27 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120215.850000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:27 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120215.870000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:27 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120216.350000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:32 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120216.830000] pppoe_sid_index=1

Tue Jul 31 21:35:37 2012(BST) [Router][Kernel][KERNEL] [120226.240000] pppoe_sid_index=1

It's not clear what these are or why they keep appearing as warning messages. All the other log categories are clear since the logs were reset.

I guess I could turn off the Kernal logging for the "Warnings" level but I'd rather try and resolve the problem that is generating the warnings. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could clear the problem?

Kind Regards

Andy.

Andy,

RV180- Warnings "pppoe_sid_index=1"

I'm not sure this is anything more than an informational intialization. This is a message generated from the ppp daemon. As far as I know, the SID is a session and index=1 is the number of sessions.

Thie message can be generated from a dsl connection, pptp server setting, l2tp, and netcfg.
