RV220W: Routing IPv6 Subnet

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding IPv6.

Question 1.

I have no idea how to route IPv6.

My provider has provided me with a subnet. This subnet is for example 1:1:1::/48

The router of the provider is located at 1:1:1::1 and my router should get 1:1:1::2(Cisco router).

Every subnet I want to create must be routed by 1:1:1::2, for example if I want to create 1:1:1:1111::/64 it needs to be routerd by 1:1:1::2

How do I configure this on the RV220w?

Question 2.

I have the possibility to create vlans on the RV220W. I can configure IPv4 addressen per vlan. Only for IPv6 this is not possible.

How do I configure this or when will new software be released to configure this?

Or do I have to edit the configuration file?

Hi Sander, thank you for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan I am part of the Small business Support community. To answer you 1st question I found few Documents regarding IPV6 routing they are able to guide you in order to complete your configuration.

Here you will find how to create Static Route, http://www6.nohold.net/CiscoSB/Loginr.aspx?login=1&pid=2&app=search&vw=1&articleid=1282, in this case you need to specified the LAN and the Gateway.

You can configure in your LAN Ipv4, Ipv6 or both protocols, actually I created a document that could help you with your configuration.

I might have explained my issue a bit confusing, because the solutions above aren't helping my situation.

Let me try to explain it in a better way.

I need the RV220w to be the router for multiple subnets.

Like I said, my provider has given my a /48. Which the RV200W needs to route.

With a static route another device will be responsible for routing and not the RV220w. So that's not what I am looking for.

When it comes to the other question.

When using VLANs on the RV220w. You have an options to configure ip adressen per vlan.

This option is only available with IPv4. the webinterface does not give this option for IPv6.

So it's only possible to configure IPv6 on the default VLAN.

I have attached a screenshot to shows the IPv4 configuration.

I'm looking for a solution for these problems. Because when I look in the configuration file, it looks like it should be possible.
