RV220W VPN gateway-to-gateway troubles.

Hi,

I've recently bought two rv220w routers to my company to connect them with a VPN IpSec tunnel. All routers on 1.0.4.17 FW. I think my tunnel configuration is ok, because tunnel status is "Connected" and i can ping the remote hosts (the IPSec setup is default). The problem is that the ping is all i can achieve . No http/ssh between the sites.

I do have firewall rule on site A to forward the incomming HTTP reqs to my local server, and it works from web but not from remote VPN site. The server on site A is in vlan and all routing in A works fine so there is access to it.

Does enyone can hint me with possible configuration issues?

Still haven't solved the issue... but  have some updates. I sniffed the network while sending http reqs from client on site B to server on site A. I see http packets incomming to site A server. I see some trafic back to client on the other side of tunnel as well (browser constatntly sees that page is alive and does not kill the session) but it seems to be very fragile because lots of retransmisions.

Now the strangest part:

When I tried to capture packets on cisco rtr it suddenly worked, so I turned off the capturing -> then breaks again - turned on -> worked... with very small transfer but worked!

So that makes me very sad - it seems that my cisco works better while capturing the packets! any ideas?

Given the weird behavior you observed, would you consider resetting your RV220W to factory default and reconfiguring it from scratch? If the issue persists, you might want to contact the support center to open a case.

Thank you for answer! in fact I followed your advice and restored defaults and it seemd to work but when I tried to login remotly and set up the PPTP server (not sure if this was related) i found that it doesn't work again. It means that this link is very unstable. I am very disapointed with the product right now. I will try to open the case then as you suggested...
