RV260: VPN PPTP problem - user authentication

I bought a RV260 for VPN connections recently, firmware 1.0.00.17, and I try to config VPN PPTP since 3 days, as I often did it before. Even the easiest way to connect with VPN PPTP is not possible, because of the following error.

2020-Mar-24, 16:55:32 AZOT	error	vpn	pptp: RADIUS: Can't read config file /etc/radiusclient/radiusclient.conf
2020-Mar-24, 16:55:32 AZOT	error	vpn	pptp: rc_read_config: can't open /etc/radiusclient/radiusclient.conf: No such file or directory

I have no RADIUS configured (NO Remote Authentication Service)!

The problem seams to be well known with other routers, however unsolved!

Other VPNs e.g. IKE2 does not work either.

Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

i see some issues around same-  replied to the user with information, but user never come back it was fixed or not.

Thanks for your reply, but I red this posts already and they do not have a solution.

PAP (without encryption!) does not work either, that's the log:

Besides VPN without encrypted seems to defeat the purpose.

I tried it with different Windows systems, as well as with ubuntu. It seems to be a severe bug of quite a lot of this small business products.

I only bought this RV260 for VPN and now I can only use it as a firewall and switch. I probably will send it back soon.

However I still hope, that there is a solution.

PAP works as per below link. Disable MPPE encryption on router, PPTP server as well.
