Dear Community.
RV320 + RV325 should connect via a Gate-Gate VPN. (24/7)
Both Routers are behind an ISP modem , so therefore both NAT and Dyn IPs. (typical Setup in todays small Business)
Ip's are changing at least every 24h (automatic disconnect by isp), so Setup with fix IP is not an Option, NAT cannot be switched off.
Latest Firmware in use : v1.3.1.12 (2016-04-27, 10:46:12)
For test reasons, a manual fix IP and as second test also IP - resolved was used. Both working properly.
- I used for test xyz1.ddns.net (noip) which is supported by both Routers -
Also in diagnostic the ip resolve is working and correct.
So, testing for around 10h, no Problem with the VPN connection as long as fix IP is used (also as mentioned IP-resolved ok)
See screenshot "Summary_fixIP_resolved" and screenshot "g-g Setup fix ip resolved"
Now the Problem:
If Dyn-IP and FQDN is used, the router does not resolve the IP, so therefore does not even offer "connect"
See screenshot "Summary Dyn IP FQDN" and "g-g Setup dynip fqdn"
Any hints what might be wrong?
What is the difference if Setting IP and then IP resolve
and the Feature Dyn-IP + FQDN Setting?
Kind regards,
Michael
