RV340W captive portal timeout 0

Hi,

Hardware: RV340W running Firmware 1.0.03.20

In my captive portal instance, I have set the parameter "Idle Timeout" to "0" as I don't want any timeout. However, when someone successfully logs in to the captive portal, they are kicked out immediately and asked to log in again. If I increase this value, they are not kicked out immediately.

Basically the zero is being interpreted as 0 seconds, literally, instead of unlimited, even if the field clearly says "(Range: 0-1440, 0 means unlimited)"

This is clearly a bug.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hello Ignacio,

We do not have similar or such a case in our database. Can you please try to reconfigure the captive portal meaning delete the configuration save it/apply and restart the router. Then reconfigure the captive portal and set the idle time to 0 at the end, apply and restart again.

Thanks,

Martin

Hi,

I did these steps and still didn’t work. The timeout at 0 means that the clients are immediately disconnected.

I’m starting to think this might be a bug
