SRP527W EOS/EOL

The SRP500 series went out of sale, but is not specified of a replacement product on the EOS/EOL announcement. Does anyone could suggest a replacement product with a similar market position and features?

The main features used on SRP527W are:

ADSL interface

4 port LAN

Wireless LAN

2 FXS ports

SIP agent

QOS for voip

Minimum firewall and VPN

Dear Partner,

Thank you for reaching the Small Business Support Community.

Unfortunately none of the Small Business series routers have an integrated xDSL interface, still capable on PPPoE WAN configuration but you would need to connect through a xDSL modem.  For a built in xDSL interface router I suggest you looking at the 800 series ISR routers.

Please do not hesitate to reach me back if there is any further assistance I may help you with.

Hi Octavio,

The Cisco 887V Integrated Services Router would be the best alternative.

The Cisco 887V is a good solution. The problem is that the target is a different market segment. The solution costs about 5 times the SRP527W.

The alternative of using a separate ADSL modem could technically work too, but it has some extra management burdens we would like to avoid.

The perfect solution would be in the SRP527W price range,

Thanks for your replies,

Octavio
