VPN Tunnel RVS4000 with Cisco 1841

Hi,

Currently we have 2 sites connected together with a VPN Tunnel using RVS4000 Routers at each end.

On one of the site we will need to change therouter for a Cisco 1841 ( Business router )

After the change will be done can we still keep the VPN tunnel between the 2 Devices even if theyare not the same Model ?

Hi,

Yes, you can still establish a IPSec VPN tunnel from SMB routers to Enterprise routers.

My best suggestion for you would be to call into the Cisco Small Business support center at 1-866-606-1866.  We can then open a Service Request for you, and conference in Enterprise support.  Together the SMB and Enterprise techs can get the VPN working.
