Webpages are slow to load

For almost 2 weeks, we started experiencing a problem with a new RV320 router.  The router was installed and has been performing well since January 2017; however, about 2 weeks ago we started to notice that webpages are slow to load. For example, loading google.com takes 35-45 seconds and sometimes it takes longer to the point that the browser times out.  We spent days troubleshooting this issue (i.e. rebooted router and ISP modem, made sure that it was not an internet outage, checked and double checked our internal DNS server, bypassed the internal DNS server, etc...) until we replaced the RV320 with an older Linksys router; which solved the problem.

This is a strange problem because all other network function were functioning correctly; email was flowing, file sharing was good, remote connectivity was good, etc...

Has anybody experienced such a problem?  Please advice.
