WRVS4400N v2: Why no new IPS files???

I realize the IPS files doesn't need to be updated that often, but, since it has not received one single update since June 03, 2010...

Are we not due for an update?

Is there a reason that the IPS file is not updated frequently anymore?

I get frequent complaints about the IPS being terribly out of date. The complaints are coming from the router itself via e-mail logging. I'm amazed that there is no option to specify; how many days before alerting IPS is out of date. An option to DISABLE notifying via e-mail warning would be nice.

It complains after 30 or 60 days... I think. And I'm tired of having to reload the IPS file just to satisfy the date counter of the last time an IPS was uploaded. Cisco hasn't released one single update in over 365 days.

The recent firmware (2.0.1.x or newer) has disabled the email warning about outdated IPS signatures.

I'm having difficulty finding the release notes for FIRMWARE: 2.0.2.1

The new IPS signature did not pass the labs testing. So I'm afraid that the new signature will be further delayed. Sorry for the bad news.
