FQDN on SSL VPN portal

Hi Ping Petchged,

As long as the FQDN of your site resolves to the WAN IP of your SA500, you can connect to the SSL VPN portal page of your SA500 using FQDN.  Do note that you need to specify the SSL Portal page location.  The URL is case sensitive, so look at the SSL VPN Portal Layout Page (VPN -> SSL VPN Server -> Portal Layouts) to confirm portal URL.

A couple of examples:

https://mydomain.com/portal/SSLVPN

https://mydomain.com:60443/portal/Sales   (if you create a custom portal for the sales folks, and use port 60443 instead of 443 for SSL VPN).

If you need specific help on setting up SSL VPN onthe SA500, including authentication, portal layout, groups, users and resources, take a look at the following Application Note:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/multi_function_security/multi_function_security_appliance/sa_500/technote/note/active_directory.pdf

Cheers,

Julio
