ISA550 content filtering: URL whitelisting?

Hi,

due to the recent Java 0-day exploits,  I am thinking about buying a ISA550. I looked at the ISA550 "online device emulator" and found that it is possible to disable Java (under Firewall --> Content Filtering --> Advanced and/or under Security Services --> Web URL Filtering --> Advanced Settings).

However, I cannot find any information on:

  • Is there a "Whitelisting" feature, where you can selectively allow Java for specific/trusted domains (as we require to access some java-based sites)?
  • Does any of the other builtin security services (web reputation, anti-virus, IPS) provide security for 0-day java based attacks?

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no whitelisting feature for the Java blocking.  There is a whitelist for the URL Filtering, but that doesn't apply to the Java blocking.

Thanks,

Brandon
