SA520W Unresponsive

I have installed many of these units but now have one that becomes unresponsive to a ping both on the WAN, WLAN and LAN interfaces.

The only method that has resolved the issue is to power cycle the unit.

This is definitely not what I want to have to do. It has now happened 3 times in the last 10 days.

After the 2nd occurrence, I updated the firmware to 2.1.71 and a few days later it locked up again and required a restart.

Anyone else having issues with this or have any idea why it might be happening?

Hi,

What firmware was running on the unit before updating to 2.1.71? Did you reset the unit to factory defaults after updating the firmware?

If you reset and manually configured after the reset and are still having the same issue I would suggest call Cisco Small Business Support at 866.606.1866. You may have a bad unit.

I don't remember the exact firmware but I was aware of the issue with upgrading from the one of the earlier releases.

I'll give that a try and see if it fixes anything.

I'm calling this case closed.

I factory reset the SA520W and rebuilt the config.

It's been running fine for over a month now.
