Cisco Switch Replacement

Hi , we currently have a small branch network using Cisco model Catalyst 3750e Cores and Catalyst 3560G-TS Access switches

We are looking at replacing these with 9500 Cores and 9200 Access switches

Is it possible to copy the existing configs from the old switches to the new and get a working network even though it might need some tweaking to take advantage of the latest features ?

Of course, copy and paste will work, You will have some small issues but most of commands will fit right in.  Those code lines that does not fit will be marked with ^ symbol. Things like switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q command I think it will not transfer as new switches support only dot1q (not ISL), so command is not necessary.  Other things to watch for is port security; new command adds vlan id at the end.

I would do a test by copying some of existing code lines into a standalone new switch and look for errors before the migration.
