If you would like to configure an entry on the SPA9000 auto attendant to leave voicemail to a user (assuming VM on SPA400), please follow these instructions:

  1. The AA prompt should say something like, "if you would like to leave a voicemail to a user press "3" followed by the extension number".
  2. In the [SIP] Hunt Group parameter enter the mapping between the user input (defined as hunt groups) and the destination voicemail,
e.g. 3102:cfwd=vm2102, where "3" is the prefix entered by the user (see bullet above), "102" is the extension number, "vm2" means that SPA400 is connected on SPA9000 Line 2. Repeat this syntax, separated by "|" (pipe) for each extension, e.g. 3102:cfwd=vm2102|3100:cfwd=vm2100. Please note this parameter max. lenght is 511 characters, enough to include this option for all 16 phones.
  3. In the [SIP] AA Dial Plan 1/2 parameter enter the following syntax: (xxxx<:@127.0.0.1:5083>) in addition to the existing syntax, e.g. (10x|xxxx<:@127.0.0.1:5083>|xxx.). This syntax maps any four characters entry and adds routing to an internap port. Please note you cannot use any other 4 digit extension in the system (you can but then you need to modify this entry to make it more specific).
  4. On the [Line] connected to the SPA400 make sure you have the [Line] VMSP Bridge parameter set to YES and the  [Line] CFWD Bridge Mode parameter to None (otherwise it will not work).
  5. Click Submit All Changes button. SPA9000 Voice System will reboot.

After this step, test the system by calling the SPA9000 number through the SIP trunk or SPA400 PSTN line.

I have a deperate need to forward/transfer external calls to a specific voicemail box, both from AA and a phone (we are using SPA9000 + SPA400 + SPA962 all with the latest firmware).

We have found that using the second step of your instructions above we can forward to a particular voicemail box when performing a call transfer of an inbound call using the SPA962, and also when using the AA when it is dialed

from an internal extension (we did this while testing the AA script).  It does not work, however, in the AA from a

call initiated from the outside that comes in via the SPA400 - you only get silence after the "your call has been

forwarded" message.

So I was excited to see your instructions and I tried them.  They did not work.

First, the [Line] VMSP Bridge parameter does not have a YES, option.  On ours, it is none, ALL, and ALL+self. We

set it to the latter.

When we added the xxxx<:@127.0.0.1:5083> to the AA dialplan we get an error message when performing this internally from the AA and from an external call using the AA.

Can you explain how the xxxx<:@127.0.0.1:5083> works?  What I see happening is that the AA dial plan appends

@127.0.0.1:5083 onto the user supplied digits resulting (in your example) to 3102@127.0.0.1:5083.  This value then gets used in the AA script as an extension number.  How can this make it to the 3102 hunt group?

Isnt 127.0.0.1 the SPA9000 itself?  Also what is at port 5083?  And finally, what is "routing to an internap port"

as you describe in step 3?

Thanks for all of your help in this matter as this is a very key feature in any PBX ystem.
