Objective

Enabling call waiting on the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series Multiplatform Phone allows incoming calls to get through even if your phone is busy. If this feature is enabled, the caller will still be able to hear the other end of the line ring and allows them to wait for the call to be answered instead of hearing a busy tone.

During an active call, a waiting call will be indicated by a single beep and the session button will be flashing red.

This article aims to show you how to enable call waiting on the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series Multiplatform through its web-based utility and phone GUI.
