Ever wondered if you have version 1 or version 2 of the SPA9000?
This document will help you properly identify your SPA9000's hardware version.
Why would you care?
You need to know the hardware version in order to properly select upgrade firmware for this device.
The Only Way to Identify the hardware version is to physically look at your SPA9000 as shown below:
What is Not Useful:
1. The hardware version displayed in the SPA9000's web-user interface / GUI is of no use:
Router tab > Status tab > Hardware Version
Or:
Voice tab > Info tab > Product Information > Hardware Version
Neither of these fields helps you differentiate between version 1 or version 2 SPA9000 hardware.
2. Nothing on the SPA9000's label or sticker is of any use for identifying between hardware versions.
