Troubleshooting: SPA50x / SPA303 Continues Playing Ring-back with 7.4.7

Issue:

When a SPA50x or SPA303 IP phone is configured in the following way:

  • Running version 7.4.7 firmware
  • Voice > Phone > Programmable Softkeys > Programmable Softkey Enable: yes
  • Voice > Phone > Miscellaneous Line Key Settings > Line Navigation: Per Line

The phone will exhibit the following incorrect behavior in the following scenario:

  1. Dial another phone.
  2. Before the other phone answers, press the "end call" soft key.
  3. The phone continues playing ring-back even though the called phone stopped ringing.

Work-around:

The following work-around will correct this behavior:

  • Running version 7.4.7 firmware
  • Voice > Phone > Programmable Softkeys > Programmable Softkey Enable: yes
  • Voice > Phone > Miscellaneous Line Key Settings > Line Navigation:  Per Call
