Q: My SPA525 will not upgrade.

I enabled debug level 3 and see the following in the syslog output:

Syslog message: LOCAL0.INFO: SPA525G2 00:27:0d:58:1f:28 -- Upgrade failed: fail code <101>\n

What does fail code 101 mean?

A: Fail code 101 indicates that the phone perceives the downloaded image to be corrupted in some way.

Try the upgrade again. If the upgrade fails again, factory reset the SPA525:

Setup button > 8 [Administration] > 5 [Factory reset]
