Added/removed/changed XML tags between N and M firmware of SPA50x

This document enumerates all those XML tags added/removed/changed between various firmware versions.

It is based on spacfg.xml saved from SPA504G phone with factory-default configuration.

MAC addresses, serial numbers and IP adresses has been removed from file.

Thanks for doing this Dan That is a good piece of work. 

 

I'll refer folks to this when they are asking why does my provisioning file created with 7.4.8 cause problems with a phone running 7.5.6

Provisioning file created for older firmware should not cause issues on newer firmware. Default values of added tags are "reasonable" most of time and deleted tags are causing no problem as they are silently ignored.

Of course, I assume no one is allowed to reconfigure phone using either WWW UI or embedded menu. In such case old-stile provisioning file may not revert those manual changes.
