If you are trying to upgrade your SPA112 or SPA122 from a firmware version prior to 1.2.1(004), you must use Internet Explorer or else you will not see a Browse button.
I am trying to upgrade my firmware but when I login and go to the Administration tab there is no option for "Firmware Upgrade". It does not even display on the screen. How can I get the firmware upgraded if there is not the option for this?
I have a SPA122 with version 1.3.5 and I too do not see the "Firmware Upgrade" option.
Well, it's obvious that no on e responds to these posts.
You (as well as redspot15) disclosed no details. It seems no one wish to just guess cause.
We don't know you are logged in (and which account), we don't know you have retail unit or OEM one.
Regardless the cause you can use other methods to upgrade firmware. Follow Administrators Guide.
Dan,
Thanks for a response.
Yes, I'm logged in . I have no idea what "which account" means. Nor do I know if this is a retail or OEM.
I have read the Admin guide and see no other way to upgrade the firmware.
Thanks again for the reply.

What user name you has used to log in ? (take screenshot of page with missing upgrade button - it will disclose valuable details).
Nor do I know if this is a retail or OEM.
What's the information of 'Customization:' option on Information page ?
I have read the Admin guide and see no other way to upgrade the firmware.
Sorry, it's Provisioning Guide for Cisco SPA112, SPA122, SPA232D Analog ..., not admin guide.
Search for "Upgrade Rule".
Thanks. I think I understand the problem. I log in with "cisco" "cisco". The admin default log in will not work, hence the upgrade option is not seen.
Not sure how to get around that and the XML script upgrade process....forget it.
Oh well.
"Cisco" account is guest. Guest is not allowed to upgrade.
admin default log in will not work
Ask administrator to disclose password to you.
OR
Reset unit to factory default (such reset may not be forbidden by configuration; reset to factory default may not help on OEM unit).

It's no solution for you unless you can log in as administrator
Yup. Tried the reset with no success. I guess these 19 units will go in the trash.
Thanks for the help.
Check "Customization" option (it should be possible even with guest login access). If the units are RC/OEM (customization value other than 'Open') you has been cheated by seller - return units to them, ask for refund. OEM units are not suitable for resale.
I had the same issue, no firmware upgrade option. I was logging in as cisco/cisco. You must log in
May be too late now but try admin / admin
This seemed to work for me, with all forms not visible as well on FW 1.0.2 (001)
1. Use Internet Explorer to access SPA122/112
2. Change admin password via "Administration/User List" if link not visible modify URL in browser to show after http://<IP>/User_Level.asp;<leave session ID here> change and submit
3. Enable "Admin Access" from Web Access Management" if link not visible modify URL in browser to show after http://<IP>/Management.asp;<leave session ID here> & Submit
4. Select Firmware Upgrade from Administration tab, browse to firmware and Upgrade, if link not visible modify URL in browser to show after http://<IP>/Upgrade_run.asp;<leave session ID here> & Submit
