Using Download Station for NSS300 Series Smart Storage

Objectives

The Download Station is a web interface that allows you HTTP and FTP download files to the NSS device independent of a PC.

Applicable Devices

This document applies to all NSS 300 Series Smart Storage.

Set Download Station Configuration

Step 1. Go to the log in screen for the NSS and choose Download Station from the Application drop-down menu.

 

Step 2. Go to the Set Config tab on the Download Station page.

Step 3. Set the Maximum number of downloads at the same time option. The default is 3.

Step 4. Set the Maximum download rate. The default is 0 (unlimited).

Step 5. Set the Download time settings which determine when the download will run.

Step 6. Click Apply.

Add New FTP/HTTP Task

Step 1. Go to the Add New FTP/HTTP Task tab on the Download Station page.

Step 2. Enter the URL of the file or the task you wish to copy beginning with ftp:// or http://.

Step 3. Select the network share folder you wish to save the file to on the NSS.

Step 4. If authentication is needed, enter the username and password for the server.

Step 5. Click OK.

Pause a Running Download Task

Step 1. Go to the View Run List tab within the Download Manager.

Step 2. Select the Download Task you wish to pause.

Step 3. Click Pause/Restart Download Task.

Restart a Paused Download Task

Step 1. Go to the View Pause List tab on the Download Manager page.

Step 2. Select the Download Task you wish to restart.

Step 3. Click Pause/Restart Download Task.

View Diagnostic Information about a Task

Step 1. Go to the View Run List tab on the Download Manager page.

Step 2. Select the Download Task you wish to view Diagnostic Information about.

Step 3. Click Dump Diagnostic Information.
