Setting Up a Dynamic DNS Hostname for Remote Access to your Smart Storage
If you have a dynamic IP address at your site, you can use a Dynamic DNS service to get a hostname for your NAS and to ensure that your hostname is valid even when your IP address changes. Your remote users can access your NAS simply by entering the hostname into a web browser.
This video shows you how to register for a free DDNS account and create a hostname. It also shows you how to configure the NAS to support this service.
