Viewing my VC220-K9 on a Television

Good Day All,

I am installing a VC220-K9 PTZ IP Camera at a home, but the user wants to view the video on his televisions in two locations.

I have figured that having a TV like the Panasonic Viera with an Ethernet port would be the route to go, but what about televisions without access to an IP connection. How could I go about connecting TVs to view an IP camera.

Thanks.

Brian,

Analog to digital video encoders are pretty common these days. Unfortunately IP to analog converters are not so common, if they are available at all. One way to do it is to have a small media PC running the Video Monitoring System connected to an HDMI port on the TV. You could simply switch the input for the TV using the remote to view the cameras. Let us know if you come up with any other solutions. You're probably not the first or last person looking for such a system.
