WVC210 SMB/CIFS Recording Setup?

I have tried to setup the SMB/CIFS recording (continuous and motion-activated, separately)...

SysLog shows "failure to connect to server:  [Server1]".

I have the Server1 as the host.

I have the path as \camera.  I also tried /camera.

The user is "camera" - who owns the directory \\server1\camera.

I can map a drive on Windows to \\server1\camera using the same credentials as the camera, and all works fine.

i cannot seem to find a documented example of the exact setup options needed.

(sorry for stupid question!)

-Thanks!

FYI -- I have been able to setup the FTP to work properly.

The FTP server is a disk off of a Cisco E4200 router.

The SMB share is also defined off of the same E4200 router.

(USB disk, FAT format)

Hi Phil,

Thank you for posting. Try ONLY the IP address insted of "server1" and remove the slashes for the share name. (Use camera, not \\camera or //camera) If this is successful you can change the IP address back to server1 and test again.

Please reply if you need further assistance or mark as answered.
