Cisco 500 Series or Catalyst Series - Port Throttling for Multi-Tenant

We are looking to deploy either the 500 series or the Catalyst series switches in a multi tenant environment.

Requirements:

We need to be able to throttle at the port level. This is for a multi-tenant environment where certain customers will pay for different speeds. 1Mb, 5Mb, etc

I have read that the way to implement this on the Catalyst Series (Possibly the 2960) is by using "srr queue bandwidth limit". However I am not sure about the 500 series.

Thoughts/Recommendations?

Hi Thomas, the SX500 does support ingress rate limit and egress shaping rate. This is a quality of service configuration where you can define the Committed Information Rate and Committed Burst Rate along with the ingress and egress rate limits.

In addition, the switch also supports protect port so you may separate every port without making a hundred VLAN.
