Cisco SG300-52P will not power a Wireless Access Point

Hi,

I have a customer who has an 802.3 af-compliant PoE Access Point made by IP Access which powers up correctly when connected to a PoE injector, Netgear desktop PoE switch, and their old SF300 PoE switch, however when we connect to the new SG300-52P it will not boot.

I have disabled all green ethernet settings, but it satill won't boot. When I run the command stating show power inline I can see 30w per port is allowed however I can see a fault on the port. I know the access point and cable are working as I've used them to connect to the other devices, is there a setting I'm missing on the switch to allow PoE to be allocated?

Cheers

Hello,

What is the brand of your Access Point?

Chris

Hi,

It's a ip.access' nanoBTS GSM Picocell.

Hello,

What is the version of the SF300 and the SG300? Are they both running the same load?

Regards,

Chris
