Cisco sge2010p LAG to HP procurve switch

Hi;

I have configured  stack with 2 sge2010p switches. I want to connect this stack to the HP procurve switch using port agregation (LAG) technique.

I want to use one ge port on each sge switch.

How to configure it? Will it work witch port agregation on procurve?

Should I enable STP on LAG interface?

Krzysztof,

In theory, this should work, since you have the sge2010's in a stack it should work.  I have not tested this personally.  Of course if it don't work, you can still  have the redundency of having 1 port from each switch going to the procurve with rstp enabled.

Dear Krzysztof,

Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC.

As for your first question, yes, ports from 2 different switches in stacking mode can be added to the same LAG.

For STP settings, as the switch configures the LAG as being one port, you have to configure these settings on the LAG, not on the separate ports.

Hope this helped,

Best regards,
