Create Trunk between two SRW2016's with Fiber

Hi,

I have two SRW2016's on opposites sides of a property. There is a Fiber Cable running from one unit to the other. Each unit has a shared MiniGBIC (Port 16) which I have installed a MGBLH1 - SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver module. There is a SFP Fiber patch cable connected from the MGBLH1 directly to the Fiber Patch Panel. I have tried to create a trunk between the two SRW2016's by setting up a VLAN 2, changing the port 16 settings access mode to Trunk. My problem is that I do not get any life (flashing LEDS) for either of the miniGBIC ports.

Two questions: Is this setup possible with the SRW2016's because my Cisco Sales Rep told me it was, and two, if this is possible, how can I get this to work properly?
