Disable PnP Completely

Greetings!

I'm a Cisco noob with a couple SG350-10s, ciscored and ciscoorange (cisco orange is a 10P) and I sure could use some advise.  I moved to the Ciscos from a couple of netgears that were just awful, and what a wonderful upgrade!!  :)

Trouble I'm having is that ciscoorange keeps throwing the following errors on cli and gui:

07-Jun-2020 23:34:35 %PNPAGENT-I-PNPSRVRDETECT: PnP Server pnpserver was detected

I've disabled PnP on both switches, but it keeps alerting.  ciscored shows it disabled in the gui (enabled is not checked) and cli:

ciscored#show pnp
Administrative status: disabled
Operational status:
PnP Agent state:
Transport protocol: https (default)
Next session: http (default)
Server IP address: devicehelper.cisco.com (default)
Next session: pnpserver (default)
TCP port: 443 (default)
Next session: 80 (default)
Username: (default)
(Encrypted)Password: (default)
Discovery Timeout: 60 seconds (default)
Discovery Exponential Factor: 3 (default)
Discovery Maximum Timeout: 540 seconds (default)
PnP Session Interval Timeout: 30 seconds (default)
PnP Watchdog Timeout: 60 seconds (default)
Timer Remainder: 0 seconds

However the 10P, even after disabling from cli and verifying from the gui ('enabled' is still not checked), from cli, it still shows enabled:

ciscoorange#conf
ciscoorange(config)#no pnp enable
ciscoorange(config)#exit
ciscoorange#show pnp
Administrative status: enabled
Next session: disabled
Operational status: ready
PnP Agent state: discovery
Transport protocol: http (default)
Server IP address: pnpserver (default)
TCP port: 80 (default)
Username: (default)
(Encrypted)Password: (default)
Discovery Timeout: 60 seconds (default)
Discovery Exponential Factor: 3 (default)
Discovery Maximum Timeout: 540 seconds (default)
PnP Session Interval Timeout: 30 seconds (default)
PnP Watchdog Timeout: 60 seconds (default)
Timer Remainder: 0 seconds

Can someone please help me disable this entirely?  I sure don't need it for 2 switches in a home network.

Thanks!

Hi,

What is your firmware version? If not the latest please upgrade to 2.5.5.47 https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286288271/type/282463181/release/2.5.5.47 and make sure once disable the PnP agent in CLI you saved the config. Then restart.

Regards,

Martin
