Hi everyone,
Just configuring a new switch and cant seem to get DNS to resolve from within the switch so that time sync etc..starts to work.
I followed the instructions on this page with no effect:
https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/1684783/?page=368
This is the result:
KCDSB-Core#ping www.google.ca
Pinging www.google.ca (172.217.12.67) with 18 bytes of data:
PING: net-unreachable
PING: net-unreachable
PING: net-unreachable
PING: net-unreachable
----172.217.12.67 PING Statistics----
4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
What am I missing here?
Thanks,
Don

In the end the solution was simple. Not only did I need to enter the DNS manually using the commands provided in the link (can by done through web gui by setting the drop down bar at the top from basic to advanced:
Also you need to configure the gateway manually by using the command in global:
ip default-gateway xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Thanks,
Don
