First time setup of SG300-10 (*Lan in not connecting : showing connection failed )

I am new to this. So while connecting a Cisco switch sg300-10 via a Lan Cable (RJ45) to my computer,it is not connecting,showing me error "Connection failed,Activation of network connection failed"

What should i do to connect the switch? I am using Ubuntu os.
