Good day. Does anybody of you tried to set up a port authentication using freeradius? I tried but it keeps on failing during authentication. What I did so far:
- setup freeradius in an ubuntu server.
- set user
<username> Cleartext-Password := "<password>"
- set client
client <ip address of the sg300 switch> {
secret = secretkey
nastype = cisco,
shortname = switch
}
On the switch side:
- set up radius server, key string(secretkey).
- add radius table item.
- set port authentication to one port (port 8 to be exact)
on the computer on port 8, I enter the username and password. after that the lan interface tried to get an ip but it couldn't. check on authenticated host list, it shows 0.
please help me.
