How to reset the password on sge2010 in the console?

This is a very old switch, End-of-life and End-of support date is also over long back.

Please use the console cable provided along with the switch to connect (you may use hyperterminal). While the switch is booting after power recycle, please hit the ‘Esc’ key on the keyboard once you see the output from flash memory (Everything should list PASS). If that works well then that will take you to the boot menu. Now use the option 3 to reset the password, that is supposed to reset the username and password for that switch. Hitting the ‘Esc’ key at the right moment is the key here, you may need to try multiple times.
