Problem with DHCP Option 82 in SF300 switch

Dear,

I was trying to activate DHCP Option 82 in the SF300 switch, running in Layer-2 mode.

In the DHCP Relay Properties, I enabled the DHCP Relay. I also added the DHCP server where the DHCP messages should be relayed.

I also added the VLAN were the messages are arriving.

However, when checking the DHCP server, no DHCP relay information is added.

Anybody else with the same problem?

Hello Samuel,

Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC.

Would it be possible for you to provide us with the configuration of the switch (preferrably saved config file, but a screenshot of the configured options would be fine too) and a Wireshark capture of the port connecting to the DHCP server (using port mirroring, Rx & Tx) This way we can see exactly what is being sent to the DHCP server when a dhcp request is transferred.

Another thing, what is the DHCP server you are using ?

Thanks for the info.

Best regards,

Nico Muselle
