I just received it today.
1. Set my laptop the following IP: 192.168.1.200 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 - Gateway:192.168.1.254
2. Plugged in Ethernet Cable from Laptop to Switch - Tried 2 different cables to be sure
3. Turned on Switch got Blinking light
4. Opened command prompt to see if I could ping 192.168.1.254 - TIMED OUT
I have been at this for 5 hours now and have tried Reset at least 3 times. Nothing changes. My network is a .1 network and when I connect the switch to my live network it knocks everything offline. When I unplug it everything comes back online.
Any ideas?

Is it a brand new switch or one which has been used before?
Maybe the IP has been changed from the default?
Have you tried a factory reset?

Thanks for the feedback. The vendor is refunding my money. I did reset several times. I think it has an IP Address other than the factory one. I actually pinged it 254 times for the .1 network and all were Time Outs...lol...Yes 254 pings one at a time took an hour or so.

If its a brand new switch, it could be DOA or may have been a refurb which was not done properly etc.
Just FYI, there are loads of applications out there which will do a bulk ping for a whole subnet without you have to do it one by one :)
Thanks
