SG200 - Dead?

Hi all, have an old SG200 here that was trying to get going for use in a small office. However, booting it up and connecting directly to my laptop, link lights turn off after about 10 seconds. It looks like it will connect, but then it disconnects shortly after and the link lights turn off. Connect it directly to the router, same thing. I have reset the switch and I experience the same behavior. Is this switch dead or is there anything I can do? Googling didn't bear any fruit.

Thanks!

edit: Strangely, the link seems to have restored itself after about 5 minutes of being inactive. Not sure what's going on with this switch, could be faulty? Don't want to use for business if perhaps there's something wrong with it, or is this normal behavior?

Hi,

Normally it doesn’t take that much time to become active. Any suspicious log showing on the mentioned switch? In case your switch is not updated with the latest firmware version then you may upgrade the firmware on your Switch and verify the status once. To download the latest firmware for your specific 200 series Switch model, please follow the below mentioned link…

Note: Please download the configuration back-up from the mentioned Switch before upgrading the latest firmware on the Switch.

In case still the issue persists then please contact us following the below mentioned link for further troubleshooting …
