SG200 Rate Limit Configuration

I'd like to use an SG200 swicth to allocate bandwidth on a 100 Mbps fiber Internet uplink.

I will have 5 routers (each supporting a separate network) connected to the SG200, and I'd like to give each network 20 Mbps.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone who knows more about QOS configurations could suggest the best CIR and CBS settings for this.

THANK YOU,

AGS

Hello alangunnsteel,

The CIR is what you will configure to set the allowed amount of traffic out from the routers. The CBS will allow you to override the CIR upto the limit specified.

To configure this you will go to QoS -> Bandwidth on the switch.

Enable Bandwidth control on the applicable ports and configure the appropriate settings.

Ingress Rate(in KBits): 20480

Egress CIR(in KBits): 20480

Egress CBS(in Bytes): 2621440(This is 20Mbps, increase as desired to allow bursting)

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

-john
