SG220-26P - 802.3af mode A

Hi all,

I'm about to buy SG220-26P switch. I have some other vendor access point which supports 802.3af mode A.

Does SG220-26P support only mode A or only mode B, or it supports both?

Most important question: will this other vendor access point work with SG220-26P?

Thanks in advance.

As per my understand cisco support 802.3AF with max power of 30W.

Mode A is good enough for PoE.

Re: SG220-26P - 802.3af mode A

Hi Sir,

My name is Puneet Sandel and I am from Cisco small business support center.

As per your query, kindly let us know the models of the APs you will be using with the SG220-26P switch.

We will need to check the compatibility matrix for the same also. Regarding the PoE output of the switch, SG220-26P switch supports both 802.3af as well 802.3at PoE standard. Every port can provide you 30W of maximum PoE power. It has a PoE power budget of 180 Watts.

Kindly let us know if you have any other query related to the switch.
