SG300-28 Forgot Password

i have a SG300-28 switch here but I do not have the password to login the device. From the startup config of the switch, I see the login password is encrypted. Are there anyway for me to access the device without reset it?

Hi Blue, yes there is a password bypass procedure.

You will require console access.

Follow the first part of this document

Step 1, 2 and 3 and notice on step 4, instead of option 1, use option 3.

After this, the switch will boot up normally then you should just be able to hit enter to get pass the password.

Yeah, even though I'm logged in, I get "You are not authorized to access this page".
 

Manjil - I have to do the same procedure. From what I've read, connect via serial, you have to restart your switch, then there is a bypass password option during boot. This will get you into the switch; which gives you access to change the password, and then save it. Reboot again. Then you should be able to log in with the new password.

But yeah, I'm frustrate when you find someone that lists a solution - linking to another page, or document, but can't get to the document.
