SG300/SG500 series security vulnerability

Cisco announced this today:

Of particular note is the fact they will not patch SG300 and SG500 switches indicating they are end of support.

I looked up the support matrix, and was SHOCKED and APPALLED to find out that the end of software support date was *1* year after the end of sale date.

I could get final stock from distribution some time after end of sale.

Cisco basically sold a switch with less then 1 year of shelf life on it.  I understand they're small business, but a SG500-48MP was a ~$3500 switch.

It's irresponsible of Cisco to sell switches with such little software support on them from security standpoint, and they should be taken to task for this approach.  This will cement me likely never selling another item from the small business line.  Their enterprise products all carry at least 3 years of security support after end of sale.
